Discover CBD concentrates

CBD concentrates are distinguished by their high cannabidiol content, often in excess of 90%, which differentiates them from other CBD products such as oils or flowers. These products are extracted from authorized hemp varieties, resulting in a high CBD concentration - up to 99% for some products.

Concentrates come in a variety of forms, adapted to individual tastes and needs. These include CBD crystals, some of the purest concentrates available, as well as products such as wax, crumble and shatter. Each type of concentrate offers a unique experience, in terms of texture, taste and effects.

Despite their high CBD content, these products are not psychoactive, with THC levels below the legal limit of 0.3%. As a result, they provide a sensation of intense relaxation without the undesirable effects associated with THC.

Different forms of CBD concentrates

Wax: a popular form of concentrate

Wax is a very popular form of CBD concentrate. It takes the form of a wax or paste, hence its name. Its texture varies between that of oil and honey, making it easy to handle and use.

Wax is renowned for its high CBD concentration, which can reach up to 99% in some products. This makes it a particularly potent product, ideal for those seeking the most intense effects of cannabidiol.

However, despite its high CBD content, wax complies with current legislation, with THC levels below 0.3%. It therefore offers all the benefits of CBD, without the undesirable psychoactive effects associated with THC.

There are different types of wax, from 60% CBD to 42% CBG/CBD 23%. Each type offers a unique experience, depending on its specific cannabinoid concentration.

Crumble: a solid concentrate

Crumble, like wax, is a solid concentrate of CBD, but its texture is more crumbly, hence its name evoking a crumbled cake. Its waxy consistency and golden hue attest to its quality. Rich in CBD, it also contains terpenes, flavonoids and beneficial essential oils found in the hemp plant.

It is generally produced by supercritical CO2 extraction, an environmentally-friendly method, or sometimes by butane extraction, although the latter requires great caution due to the flammable nature of butane.

CBD crumble can be consumed in a number of ways, including vaporized at over 170 degrees for a unique sensory experience, or infused with a fatty substance such as oil or butter.

Its high CBD content, often up to 90% and more, makes crumble a popular product with connoisseurs looking for an intense CBD experience.

CBD shatter

Shatter is a form of cannabis extract with a consistency similar to brittle glass. It is renowned for its high potency and is produced by extracting cannabinoids and terpenes from the cannabis plant using solvents such as butane or CO2.

CBD shatter" is a version of this concentrate that focuses on cannabidiol (CBD) rather than delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This means it can offer the potential benefits of CBD without the psychoactive effects associated with THC. It is often used by those seeking the medicinal benefits of CBD without experiencing a "high" or mind-altering high.

When used, "shatter" can be vaporized, dabbed, or even added to food or drink, although vaporizing (dabbing) is the most common method of consumption.

Understanding CBD concentration

CBD concentration refers to the amount of cannabidiol present in a product. It is generally expressed as a percentage or in milligrams. For example, a product with a concentration of 90% contains 90% pure CBD. The higher the concentration, the more intense the effects. CBD concentrates can have concentrations of up to 99%. This means that almost the entire product is pure CBD. However, it should be noted that even with such high levels, these concentrates comply with THC regulations (below 0.3%).

There are different types of CBD concentrates, each with a different concentration. For example, wax can contain up to 99% CBD, while CBD oil has more moderate concentrations, ranging from 10% to 40%. The ideal concentration depends on each individual's needs and preferences.

Potential effects of CBD concentrates

CBD concentrates offer a variety of potential effects thanks to their high cannabidiol content. These include a feeling of well-being and intense relaxation, with no significant side effects.

CBD acts on receptors for serotonin, dopamine, GABA, the TRP channel and glutamatergic systems, which could explain certain neurological and psychoactive effects such as sedation and drowsiness.

What's more, CBD concentrates could help improve numerous health problems such as pain, anxiety, depression and sleep disorders. They may also have therapeutic potential in relieving chronic pain, thanks to their anti-inflammatory and relaxing properties.

It has also been found that CBD can help reduce negative behaviors, such as panic attacks or paranoia, by binding to endocannabinoid receptors in the human body. CBD concentrates could therefore help calm the nerves in stressful life situations. However, they can also cause side effects such as drowsiness, confusion and nausea.

How to use CBD concentrates?

Oral consumption: capsules and e-liquids

Inhalation: spraying and dabbing

CBD concentrates can be inhaled in two ways: vaporization and dabbing.

Vaporization involves heating the CBD concentrate until it vaporizes, without combustion. This method requires the use of a vaporizer specifically designed for CBD concentrates. The temperature of the vaporizer must be precisely adjusted to ensure optimal inhalation.

Dabbing, on the other hand, is a more recent technique involving the inhalation of highly concentrated CBD. To make a dab, you'll need a dabbing kit, a flashlight lighter and a dabbing nail. The concentrate is vaporized by direct contact with the pre-heated surface of the device.

Topical application: creams and balms

Topical application of CBD concentrates in the form of creams and balms is a commonly used method of targeting specific problems such as muscle pain or skin inflammation. These products concentrate CBD's action directly on the desired area.

• CBD creams are distinguished by their ease of use and ability to penetrate the skin quickly, offering rapid relief from acute pain. Their complete composition, rich in active ingredients, optimizes their efficacy.
• High-dose CBD balms are particularly appreciated for their anaesthetic effect, providing relief from deeper ailments.

These topical products are generally well tolerated and have a THC content that complies with legislation, guaranteeing total traceability.

Flavours in CBD concentrates

Flavors in CBD concentrates play a key role in the consumption experience. They enhance the taste of the products while preserving their properties. There are many different types of flavor, ranging from the more classic, natural hemp flavors, to the more exotic, such as fruity or gourmet flavors.

Among the most popular products are CBD concentrates with orange, strawberry, mint and coconut flavors. These flavors, obtained through the addition of terpenes, are also present in e-liquids and allow you to personalize their flavor.

Please note: Despite their pleasant taste, these CBD-concentrated products should not be consumed neat. They should always be diluted, for example in a propylene glycol/vegetable glycerine base before vaping.

Is CBD concentrate amazing?

Is CBD concentrate a narcotic? This question is frequently asked because of its relationship with cannabis. It's essential to understand that CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant, but unlike THC, it has no psychoactive effects.

In fact, CBD is a molecule that neither alters perception nor creates dependency. For this reason, it is not considered a narcotic in France or most other European countries.

In contrast, THC, another cannabinoid present in the cannabis plant, has psychoactive properties and is classified as a narcotic. In CBD concentrates, THC levels are generally below 0.2%, in line with current legislation.

It can therefore be said that, although they come from the same plant, CBD and THC are two distinct substances with different effects. CBD, even in concentrated form, has no narcotic effect.
